• Serve as the primary on-call technical point of contact for emergency response • Assess and troubleshoot critical system failures and unplanned outages and coordinate rapid service restoration • Act as the primary technical resource for AC Substation equipment, including switchgear, transformers, protection relays, and control infrastructure • Provide technical support for SCADA, substation control, and protection systems • Manage and troubleshoot SCADA communication architectures • Monitor DFR event reports and maintain protection relay scheme integrity • Assist in developing normal, emergency, switching, clearance, temporary earthing, and equipment maintenance procedures • Provide mentorship and hands-on training to customer personnel • Develop and deliver formal training programs and ensure contractor documentation reflects current as-built designs • Ensure scheduled maintenance is executed according to the Annual Work Plan • Develop optimized work methods to improve efficiency • Review spare-part lists, inventories, and specifications and recommend missing or damaged components • Inspect and test spare parts to ensure manufacturer-standard preservation and installation readiness • Monitor substation performance data, identify potential failure modes, and provide system health diagnostics • Advise customer management and liaise between the site and GE Vernova regional engineering centers • Champion EHS standards and mitigate high-voltage risks on-site
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related technical discipline • 5 years of experience supervising high-voltage substations • Minimum of 5 years of proven field experience • Availability for work on project sites in the US • Legally authorized to work in the United States • Ability to read and interpret single-line diagrams, general arrangement drawings, and installation and commissioning procedures • Strong understanding of EHS requirements for high-voltage project sites • Strong field leadership and decision-making • Excellent coordination and communication skills • Ability to manage multiple contractors and interfaces simultaneously • High attention to safety, quality, and detail • Practical problem-solving in construction environments • Ability to work under schedule pressure while maintaining standards • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
