📋 Description

• Provide technical and managerial leadership for multiple engineering first-line managers and their teams • Inspire, hire, coach, and develop technical and leadership talent • Establish strong working relationships with internal engineering managers, business leaders, project managers, and stakeholders • Interface with external partners, customers, the NRC, and applicable country-specific regulatory agencies on technical issues • Lead performance and program management for assigned work and ensure timely fulfillment of engineering commitments • Plan, organize, and manage technical activities and tasks supporting engineering deliverables • Drive design, development, and maintenance of required systems according to program/project software requirements • Guide use of system specifications by other technical disciplines and project design partners • Manage external resources to ensure deliverable quality, flexibility, and improved cost positions • Support commercial and marketing opportunities and develop new business opportunities • Protect GVH intellectual property rights • Support GE initiatives, process improvement, simplification, and design-to-cost • Support nuclear energy quality requirements, including design reviews and corrective actions • Coordinate Reactor Safety & Reliability domains with BWRX-300 Design Team, Engineering departments, and project leaders • Report to the Engineering General Manager of Fuel & Digital Engineering

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Discipline or similar from an accredited college or university • At least 15 years of progressive experience in engineering design and/or project leadership experience • Eligibility to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information, if applicable • Legally authorized to work in the United States • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable • Proven ability to be a liaison between organizations operating in separate geographic locations • Demonstrated ability to deliver results while promoting strong team performance • Proven interpersonal and leadership skills; ability to think strategically, be creative and move quickly • Ability to lead highly experienced engineers and balance multiple demands and priorities • Experience with project management, including communication, risk, planning/scheduling, and change management • Experience in the nuclear industry or equivalent large-scale new-build experience in the power industry • Knowledge of USNRC licensing requirements • EPC experience and knowledge, specifically power plants • Understanding of the nuclear industry and technology • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to document, plan, market, and manage programs that further business knowledge, understanding, and capability
