• Manage supplier development and assist key suppliers toward quality assurance • Support suppliers in achieving optimum quality and industrial standards of excellence • Provide technical expertise in process development, capacity planning, and inventory requirements and management • Drive Value Stream Analysis and Kaizen events with key suppliers • Drive process and systemic quality improvements at assigned supplier sites using lean and quality tools • Validate improvements through defined measures to reduce defects and improve on-time delivery • Collaborate with Project Quality, Engineering, and suppliers on problem solving • Lead cross-functional teams in resolving major supplier-site issues • Analyze commodity, quality systems, NCR, CoPQ, DPPM, and DMR data to identify trends and propose performance-improvement actions • Support training of internal staff and other functions on Supplier Lean Improvements and Standard Work • Deploy GE Vernova Supplier Development Procedures, Processes, and work instructions within the region • Support process and procedure reviews and continuous improvement actions
• Bachelor’s degree in Quality, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, Manufacturing engineering, operations, or another equivalent discipline from an accredited university or college (US-based candidates only) • 3–5 years of relevant experience in Quality Management, Manufacturing Operations, or similar fields • Knowledge of APQP, problem solving, sampling, statistical analysis, root cause analysis, and PDCA • Proven lean experience, including leading Kaizen events • Knowledge of lean tools including VSM, A3 Thinking, Gauge R&R, SMED, 5S, Daily Management Systems or Visual Management, Standard Work, Leader Standard Work, and Pull Systems • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 quality registration • Ability to communicate effectively • Ability to work cross-functionally • English as a primary or secondary language • Developing quality/process expertise within commodities • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and AI tools • Ability to travel up to 60% • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States • Position does not offer sponsorship
