• Manage construction activities at customer sites • Direct site crews and oversee daily operations • Ensure technical execution aligns with project goals and company policies • Plan project activities and allocate resources • Ensure site documentation and technical procedures are current and accessible • Champion EHS guidelines and conduct risk assessments • Pause or stop work when safety or quality standards are compromised • Perform in-process rewind tests, including high potential, surge, stator core loop, and insulation resistance tests • Conduct fault investigations • Act as the primary point of contact for customers and subcontractors • Provide on-the-job training • Manage team performance and foster a culture of safety and discipline • Participate in pre-bid job walks • Assist in developing cost estimates for proposals • Track project risks to minimize additional expenditures • Work from home between site assignments to prepare offers, cost estimates, and mobilization plans
• 5+ years of prior hydroelectric generator experience, preferably in a supervisory capacity • Deep understanding of repair/replacement practices for mechanical equipment and heavy industrial machinery used in hydroelectric facilities • Familiarity with maintaining multi-purpose hydroelectric generating facilities, including dams, powerhouses, and gate/valve houses • Knowledge of safe operation practices for heavy construction equipment • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills • Ability to establish effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders • Proven ability to perform shaft line alignment, bearing settings, and use mechanical precision tools/on-site machining tools • Strong problem-solving capability • Ability to read and interpret complex manuals, drawings, and project specifications • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and empower diverse site teams • Ability to travel frequently to job sites throughout the United States • Willingness to work indoors and outdoors with exposure to different weather conditions • Ability to work from home between site assignments to prepare offers, cost estimates, and mobilization plans • Must be able to satisfy all requirements to work on-site at various customer facilities • Legally authorized to work in the United States • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
