📋 Description

• Own risk management and risk mitigation across ongoing projects • Develop processes to monitor and control project risk • Continuously improve processes and tools for the generator upgrades team • Monitor and improve generator upgrade project productivity • Track project costs using EAC metrics and identify margin accretion opportunities • Lead the technical development of the project engineering team and contribute to its skill matrix • Own engineering execution from contract signature through completion of GE’s contractual obligations • Manage cross-functional engineering teams • Provide technical guidance to Project Management and internal engineering teams • Review customer specifications and communicate requirements to design functions • Evaluate financial and schedule impacts of customer-requested scope changes • Support engineering, sourcing, vendors, and installation teams • Enforce and improve quality procedures • Track risks, implement mitigation strategies, and escalate issues as needed

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited college or university plus 8+ years of experience in Generator Engineering, Power Generation Operation, or generator-related activities; or High School Diploma/GED plus 10+ years of relevant generator work experience • Site, manufacturing, or design experience with generators • Project management experience in complex engineering projects • Background in continuous improvement and developing methods, tools, and processes • Proficiency in Excel or programming tools to automate manual tasks • Ability to develop others’ skills and technical knowledge • Excellent leadership, empathy, and collaborative one-team approach • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
