📋 Description

• Lead the technical definition of projects by defining technical requirements and architecture for DCS/SCADA and automation schemes • Translate client requirements into technical specifications, including protection single-line diagrams, network architecture, and IED integration requirements • Ensure proposed solutions comply with IEEE, IEC, and CSA standards • Serve as technical lead throughout the tender lifecycle • Evaluate complex customer RFQs and define precise technical scopes of work • Perform performance and cost estimations aligned with customer requirements • Ensure project scopes and financial models are accurate, technically viable, and optimized for risk mitigation • Define technical requirements for substation communication protocols, including DNP3 and IEC61850 • Validate system architecture for performance, reliability, and cybersecurity alignment • Manage the technical Risk & Opportunity register • Identify and quantify technical risks during the pre-bid phase and define contingency allowances • Provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams • Explain technical design decisions and their long-term customer value

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering • 3–5 years of experience in the design and architecture of protection & control schemes, SCADA systems, and substation automation • Understanding of substation communication protocols, including DNP3 and IEC61850 • Understanding of IED/relay application principles • Demonstrated proficiency in Visio for conceptual engineering drawings, network architecture diagrams, and system layouts • Ability to analyze technical specifications and translate them into actionable project execution strategies • Exposure to Microgrids, PMCS, EMS platforms, and Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) standards • Understanding of how technical reliability and system efficiency influence project competitiveness and profitability • Ability to partner with commercial and product engineering teams • Ability to synthesize complex technical challenges into clear documentation and professional presentations • Legally authorized to work in the United States • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
