• Travel 100% to wind farms throughout North America on an 8/1 rotation • Perform blade LOTO duties for GE wind turbines in support of blade repair operations • Monitor confined space operations for internal blade repair work • Assist the blade repair team with work at height or on the ground • Interface with the customer on site as needed • Assist in basket operation, rigging/de-rigging of the blade access platform, and tag-lining • Help the team solve problems related to the work scope • Maintain organized on-site supply inventory during repair operations • Perform miscellaneous operations support tasks as required by the team leader • Provide quality customer service, follow site rules, and pay attention to detail • Maintain professional conduct and care for company property and interests • Maintain personal, team, and site safety • Support a diverse team
• Must successfully work in a fast-paced team environment, think critically, and solve problems • Must already have a current GE LOTO Certificate (NAM Blade LOTO, NAM Tech Essentials, or RELC Tech Essentials) and provide proof • Must be a GE Qualified Electrical Worker 1 • Must have, or be trained in, GWO Basic Safety Training, OSHA 10, NFPA 70-E, and Confined Space • Ability to safely and correctly use powered hand tools • Knowledge of composite blade repair specifications and techniques preferred but not required • Ability to read complex technical drawings and processes preferred • IT literacy, including email, internet, and iPad • Willingness and ability to travel extensively by air and ground transportation, often on short notice, and spend extended periods away from home • Ability to drive or travel up to 11 hours per day when required • Flexibility for changes of scope and schedule • Ability to work well as a team and take guidance • Valid driver’s license, good MVR report, and age 21 or older to drive a company vehicle • Ability to climb ladders two or more times per day up to 300 feet/90 meters, bend, crawl, stoop, and lift up to 75 pounds • Ability to wear a respirator and work safely with protective equipment • Good vision, with corrective lenses if necessary, for detailed inspections, reading instructions, and safe equipment operation • US/Canadian citizens or individuals legally authorized to work in either country are eligible • Optional/plus certifications include GWO BST, GWO BTT, IRATA or SPRAT, OSHA 10 General Industry, and GE NAM Blade LOTO certificate • Must be willing and able to travel 100% on an 8/1 rotation • Must be willing and able to travel frequently by commercial airline to North American project sites • Must meet stated physical demands and be comfortable working at heights over 100 meters • Must follow company and client Safety, Quality, and Performance policies and procedures
