📋 Description

• Lead the technical delivery lifecycle for GitLab Professional Services engagements, from scoping and discovery through implementation and handoff • Design high-level and detailed architectures and implementation plans for GitLab infrastructure and functionality • Design and deliver GitLab reference architecture implementations for self-managed and cloud environments using infrastructure as code • Lead source code management and CI/CD migrations to GitLab, including enterprise migrations using Congregate • Deploy and configure GitLab in on-premises and major cloud environments using Terraform, Ansible, and the GitLab Environment Toolkit • Evaluate and communicate scalability, security, and compliance considerations • Provide DevOps and DevSecOps consulting and best-practice guidance • Coordinate implementation work across GitLab teams, partners, and customer stakeholders in an asynchronous environment • Create delivery kits, documentation, training materials, case studies, presentations, and best-practice methodologies • Mentor Professional Services and partner consultants and lead enablement sessions • Maintain delivery automation assets with clean, maintainable code and appropriate testing • Support scoping and Statement of Work creation, monthly release updates, technical vetting, and staffing assessments while maintaining 55% billable utilization • Work with customer project teams to articulate task-level work requirements

🎯 Requirements

• Prefer location in PST, MST or CST timezone alignment • Comfortable with up to 30% travel at times • Demonstrated experience delivering two or more of: source code management migration, cloud architecture, DevOps engineering, or CI/CD consulting services • Enterprise software development experience • Progressive DevOps platform experience, including designing and implementing reliable, scalable systems with clear performance and security trade-offs • Hands-on experience deploying and managing infrastructure in cloud providers and on-premises environments using tools such as Terraform and Ansible • Ability to write clean, maintainable automation/integration code and validate changes with appropriate testing and code review • Experience performing migrations to GitLab, including using Congregate or similar migration tooling • Working knowledge of data consistency and integrity concepts, including ACID properties • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, organizational, and time management skills • Comfort working in a remote, asynchronous environment • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or another advanced technical degree, or equivalent experience
