📋 Description

• Support a major natural gas customer in the Beaumont/Port Arthur, Texas area • Perform controls commissioning, system maintenance, equipment calibration, and repair or replacement of controls software, hardware and instruments • Perform control software upgrades with development support from the Home Office • Conduct combustion tuning • Serve as the key technical resource for the customer • Maintain documented histories of changes and modifications for covered equipment • Ensure changes are implemented across operations promptly • Develop KPIs jointly with the company covering all elements of the duties • Ensure monitoring and diagnostic services address known and anticipated degradation and failure modes • Train company engineers and technicians through practical experience • Prepare an evergreen structured on-the-job training program covering operation, performance, condition monitoring and maintenance • Mentor company staff on troubleshooting and issue analysis • Develop maintenance schedules to optimize unit reliability and availability • Comply with contractor and company outage planning processes and deliverables • Conduct maintenance planning and pre-outage, outage and post-outage planning activities • Prepare detailed discipline-specific work scopes for each agreed outage • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or other related field • Mark VIe Intermediate • Mark VIe Control Systems - Familiarization (Advanced Viewer) • Control System - Mark VIe Intermediate (Advanced Viewer) • Control System - Mark Ve/VIe Troubleshooting (Advanced) • Control System - Mark VIe Maintenance (Advanced) • Intro to Mark Vies Functional Safety System • Must complete EHS assigned regulatory training for work area as described by PSM’s EHS Training Matrix • 7+ years of experience creating, modifying, simulating, implementing, field testing and troubleshooting logic sequences and HMI screens/interfaces on General Electric Mark controllers (MarkVe, MarkVI, MarkVIe) • Workload knowledge of MarkV-HMI systems • Knowledge of MarkV-IDOS, Ovation or Siemens Control Systems (T3000, TXP) a plus • Experience using control systems sequence builders and compilers, control system simulators, HMI screen editors, HMI consoles and controls, data gathering and reduction tools, scheduling and reporting tools • 5+ years of experience with gas turbine general architecture and design • Working knowledge of gas turbine support and ancillary systems, including fuel delivery, purge, instrument air and hydraulic supplies • Ability to troubleshoot and correct issues involving associated limits and alarms • 5+ years of experience with instrument calibration procedures and recommissioning gas turbines after inspection, including hands-on fieldwork • 3+ years of experience solving technical or organizational problems on cross-functional teams • Advanced communication and documentation skills • 3+ years of experience persuading and presenting technical topics to peers, higher management and clients • Multilingual candidate is a plus • Ability to perform climbing, balancing, stooping/crouching, kneeling, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing/pulling, lifting up to 50 lbs, grasping and repetitive motion • Close visual acuity for data analysis, computer terminal use, visual inspection, measurement devices and assembly/fabrication • Ability to work inside and outside, in noise, near moving mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical current, scaffolding/high places, high heat and chemicals • Ability to work in close quarters, crawl spaces, narrow aisles and passageways • Ability to wear required PPE, including respirators, Tyvek suits, gloves and face shields • Requires travel by air and ground with short notice
