📋 Description

• Support MX and Routing Director platforms in a large-scale service provider environment • Assist customers with network deployment planning • Develop implementation plans • Perform solution testing • Collaborate with resident engineers, internal teams, and customers • Develop deep product knowledge • Act as the customer's primary point of contact for operational issues • Engage Juniper Technical Assistance Centers on resolutions • Open cases, provide requested data, perform advanced troubleshooting, and document findings • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and implement solutions • Communicate case status updates and deliver root cause analyses • Support formal and informal technology briefings and training sessions • Travel approximately 25% to customer locations

🎯 Requirements

• US Citizenship required • Active TS/SCI with CI Poly clearance required • Minimum 7+ years of hands-on network engineering experience • Bachelor's degree in a technical or engineering discipline desired, or equivalent work experience • Experience in engineering design, operations, and support in a large-scale ISP environment • Mastery of WAN transport topologies and methodologies • Deep understanding of routing and switching technologies including EVPN, Multicast, OSPF, BGP, RSVP, LDP, pseudowires, L2VPN, L3VPN, MPLS TE, routing policies, GRE, and VXLAN • Experience supporting Juniper MX and Routing Director platforms • Ability to troubleshoot network and equipment problems and manage JTAC cases • Knowledge of XML API, NETCONF, REST API, gRPC, Python, RPCs, PyEZ, ncclient, Ansible, Jinja2, Python and SLAX automation scripts • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills • Ability to prioritize work and operate effectively under pressure • Juniper or other vendor certifications are a strong plus • Automation and DevOps knowledge is a plus
