📋 Description

• Lead and develop a team of product designers across multiple product pods, owning hiring, performance, and career growth • Partner with the VP of Design on design strategy, organizational design, and scaling the design function • Align stakeholders, manage cross-functional dependencies, and create clarity in ambiguous projects • Set and maintain craft standards for interaction patterns, visual execution, design systems, and product quality • Define how product design operates with AI tools and AI-driven product experiences • Act as a strategic design partner to senior Product and Engineering leaders • Influence product strategy through insights into fundraisers and donors • Make high-stakes design decisions balancing craft, speed, and business impact • Evolve Givebutter’s design culture through scalable practices, norms, and rituals

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of product design experience • 3–5 years managing other designers • Strong portfolio demonstrating design leadership across complex, multi-surface product environments • Proven ability to develop designers at different career stages and intentionally build team culture • Deep craft sensibility across interaction design, visual design, and design systems • Experience partnering strategically with Product and Engineering leadership • Strong prioritization judgment • Excellent communication skills for executive storytelling and actionable feedback • Comfort operating in high-growth, ambiguous environments • Fluency with AI-driven design and AI tools • SaaS or B2B product experience required • Nonprofit or social impact experience is a plus • Experience designing AI-native, automation, or agentic product experiences is a strong plus • U.S. citizenship or permanent residency
