📋 Description

• Serve as Underwriting and Portfolio Health Subject-Matter Expert (SME) • Oversee portfolio health through policy reviews, eligibility assessments, cancellations, non-renewals, rescissions, and compliance-related decisions • Mentor Policy Servicing Clerk team members • Provide guidance and escalation support for Policy Servicing Clerks • Collaborate with other departments to develop and deploy Portfolio Health initiatives • Ensure compliance with regulations related to underwriting action and communication • Define process vision, guiding principles, strategy, future state design, and success metrics for Portfolio Health verticals • Design, document, and implement end-to-end processes, including scope definition, workflows, process maps, and operating standards • Ensure consistent application of standards across regions, functions, and teams • Establish KPIs and monitoring frameworks • Collaborate across teams to implement process enhancements and resolve cross-functional conflicts • Maintain a strategic improvement roadmap and prioritize initiatives • Monitor implementation of changes • Ensure job aids and process documentation remain accurate and up to date • Serve as an escalation point and decision authority for process design • Champion a continuous improvement culture

🎯 Requirements

• Strong understanding of auto insurance as a whole • Prior auto underwriting experience • Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills • Driven and motivated to improve processes and technology • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong collaborator • Start-Up and growth mindset that enjoys a challenge • Resourceful and able to work independently • Ability to use AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) to support daily work • Skills in evaluating AI outputs for accuracy, compliance, and bias • Experience integrating AI into workflows to improve efficiency or insights • Familiarity with AI-assisted research, summarization, and content generation • Understanding of responsible AI use, including ethics and data protection • 5+ years of relevant business or operations experience required • 3+ years auto underwriting experience preferred • High School Diploma or equivalent required • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience preferred
