• Lead a Pod of Mid-Ticket Credit Analysts and ensure timely, consistent, sound credit decisions • Underwrite and decision complex commercial equipment finance transactions • Hire, coach, train, mentor, and manage performance of Credit Analysts • Provide guidance on complex transactions, decision appeals, post-approval modifications, and Credit Committee recommendations • Partner with Sales and Originators to structure transactions balancing growth and risk • Develop, manage, and track quality, production, service, attendance, and workflow KPIs • Ensure completeness and accuracy of Mid-Ticket Credit Files in Salesforce and Shared Drives • Manage the Post-Funding Queue and complete requests within target timeframes • Perform customer due diligence, financial analysis, credit underwriting memos, approval notes, and presentation materials • Spread and analyze balance sheets, income statements, cash flows, tax returns, interim statements, and supporting schedules • Evaluate cash flow adequacy, leverage, liquidity, profitability, working capital, debt service capacity, and risk ratings • Present qualitative, financial, and equipment underwriting issues clearly to the Credit Committee • Guide Originators in obtaining customer information and provide transaction underwriting-status feedback • Assist Docs & Funding with non-standard transaction aspects and support Collections on late payments or exposure modifications • Apply Credit Policies, propose policy modifications, and provide formal and informal credit training • Establish performance expectations, conduct reviews and development meetings, participate in hiring decisions, and administer disciplinary action
• Expert knowledge of commercial credit underwriting principles, risk assessment, and equipment finance • Strong leadership, coaching, mentoring, and performance management skills • Expert ability to spread, analyze, and interpret business financial statements, tax returns, interim financial statements, and cash flow • Strong understanding of leverage, liquidity, debt service coverage, working capital, profitability, and financial ratio analysis • Excellent judgment and decision-making skills in complex credit situations • Ability to underwrite transactions across multiple industries while balancing risk, customer needs, and business objectives • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting recommendations to Credit Committee and senior management • Strong planning, organizational, and time-management skills • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment • Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with personnel, customers, Originators, Sales, Operations, and Collections • Minimum 10 years of commercial credit underwriting or risk-management experience, including significant hands-on equipment-finance underwriting • Minimum 5 years of leadership or management experience supervising commercial credit-underwriting professionals • Minimum 5 years of equipment-finance experience involving new and used equipment • Experience underwriting across transportation, industrial, specialty vehicle, tow and recovery, manufacturing, construction, and franchise industries • Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop underwriting professionals • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a relevant field recommended; equivalent relevant commercial lending experience may be considered
