• Analyze inventory data as collateral in the Asset-Based Lending process by determining Net Orderly Liquidation Value (NOLV) • Provide analytical support for ongoing and new inventory valuation projects, including data collection, due diligence, and analysis • Handle multiple projects from start to finish independently and with team support • Conduct backup exhibit calls with companies to verify supplied information • Analyze key performance metrics and prepare values and rationale for sign-off • Communicate with banks and company clients about company-provided information and business or operational challenges • Research consumer products, industrial, retail, and other assigned market sectors • Develop qualitative understanding of factors affecting asset values and review findings with management and clients • Conduct solo job inspections and client meetings as needed • Produce high-quality appraisal work while exceeding client expectations for professionalism and expediency • Provide final appraisal reports containing quantitative and qualitative findings • Work according to established methodology using standard models and templates • Maintain the Gordon Brothers’ Appraisal Application database with accurate and timely contact, company, and recovery information • Participate in travel, job inspections, and client meetings with senior-level Appraisers; photograph assets and provide notes or dictation • Provide additional analysis support as requested by management • Become proficient in and adhere to USPAP standards applicable to inventory valuations • Uphold Gordon Brothers’ Core Values and contribute to strategic-plan objectives
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related area of study required • At least four years’ relevant work experience, preferably in a financial, lending, audit, or consulting environment • MS Word and advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, macros, and complex formulas • Comprehensive understanding of financial statements, including income statements and balance sheets • Understanding of inventory and other asset accounting methodologies preferred • Demonstrated analytical, presentation, and project management skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects under tight deadlines • High degree of integrity and business acumen • Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities • Periodic travel of up to 20% may be required • Ability to become proficient in and adhere to USPAP standards applicable to inventory valuations
