📋 Description

• Conduct user research, including user interviews and user testing • Design user experiences, visual designs, user flows, and interactions for Great Minds software products • Develop production-worthy HTML and CSS, with JavaScript as needed to demonstrate dynamic designs • Evaluate design and research options and recommend approaches • Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, product marketers, and other stakeholders to identify user problems and solutions • Co-lead product design thinking and development of user-facing solutions • Validate designs through user testing before launch • Review shipped features and identify user experience improvements using qualitative and quantitative usage data • Support engineers throughout development and help resolve design and technical hurdles • Guide teams and advocate for user experience • Collaborate on the company design system to improve visual cohesion and engineering efficiency • Drive process improvements with the Product Design Director and other leaders

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in software product design • Mastery of user research, including user interviewing and user testing • Mastery of user experience design, including Design Thinking methodologies • Visual design for the web • Proficiency with Figma and Adobe Creative Suite • HTML and CSS development, with some JavaScript • Mastery of industry-standard design software, web code editors, and browser developer tools • Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, or a related field, or an additional 4+ years of industry experience in software product design for external commercial users • Cover letter and resume required • Successful completion of a background check required for new employees
