• Serve as a technical expert for pre-roll manufacturing processes, equipment, and best practices • Drive process optimization and support process development across manufacturing sites • Resolve technical challenges, equipment malfunctions, and unexpected pre-roll production issues • Assess and improve processing methods for efficiency, cost effectiveness, and product quality • Recommend and implement process enhancements and automation • Assist with bench-top R&D for new pre-roll products and process improvements • Train production teams on SOPs, best practices, safety protocols, and equipment operations • Create educational materials and deliver refresher workshops • Travel to low-performing sites for root-cause analysis and retraining • Assist with technology transfer packages and train new sites on new processes • Develop and maintain corporate pre-roll SOPs, work aids, TAMUs, and OPLs • Develop site-readiness documentation for product and process launches • Report safety incidents and comply with safety, GMP, biosecurity, sanitation, and quality requirements
• Extensive working knowledge of pre-roll manufacturing processes and processing equipment • Experience with pre-roll product development and all pre-roll offerings • Experience innovating and commercializing pre-roll products in cannabis or hemp • Experience in pre-roll production, including milling, infusing, filling, closing, painting, and packaging • Experience with manufacturing and laboratory equipment and processes in pre-roll development • Ability to plan, design experiments, troubleshoot, solve problems, and manage multiple projects • Ability to troubleshoot, fix, and service equipment and software independently • Knowledge of laboratory and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) • Advanced math skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Familiarity with OSHA guidelines for hazardous chemicals • Ability to follow applicable federal, state, and local laws, safety regulations, codes, organizational rules, directives, and SOPs • Minimum age of 21 • Valid state ID • Must be able to obtain and maintain state badging requirements, including background check and state review • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time • Associate’s degree in Science, Engineering, or related STEM discipline preferred
