📋 Description

• Collaborate with Account Executives and senior AppSec and AI engineers to drive new and continued business in the Mid-Atlantic territory • Perform technical qualification, discovery, and positioning for Application Security and AI presales opportunities • Escalate complex objections to senior engineers and practice leads • Articulate AppSec and AI risks, controls, and architectural tradeoffs to technical and security stakeholders • Align customer AI aspirations with foundational Application Security realities • Learn new AppSec and AI technologies and articulate their value proposition across customer security landscapes • Participate in Sales and Marketing events, industry conferences, and technical forums • Support development of Statements of Work, proposals, and technical collateral • Use emerging technologies, including AI tools, to solve problems and improve business outcomes • Report to Engineering leadership within the DevSecOps practice

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 1-3 years of presales, sales engineering, solutions engineering, or comparable client-facing technical experience that has advanced sales • Foundational knowledge of Application Security and/or AI security concepts, secure software development, and modern DevSecOps practices • Interest in and awareness of AI/ML systems, AI security risks, and emerging governance and regulatory considerations • Ability to learn new cyber technologies quickly and articulate value propositions to technical and non-technical audiences • Strong discovery skills to understand issues/gaps in customer AppSec and AI programs and collaborate on solutions • Willingness to proactively research and engage emerging vendors and technologies relevant to AppSec and AI • Excellent soft skills with the ability to translate complex technical content into business-aligned outcomes • Working knowledge of Application Security concepts, including secure SDLC, SAST/DAST/SCA, code review, vulnerability management, and web/API security • Familiarity with AI/ML systems and emerging AI security risks, including model security, LLM/GenAI risks, and AI governance • Exposure to modern DevSecOps tooling and practices, including CI/CD pipelines, containers, and cloud environments • Working technical knowledge of foundational security concepts such as Zero Trust and defense in depth • Ability to build technical proof points and demonstrate solutions to technical and executive stakeholders with support from senior engineers • Strong communication and troubleshooting skills • Up to 25% travel required • Sedentary work • Substantial movement of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers for a minimum of 8 hours a day • Close visual acuity for computer terminal viewing and/or extensive reading for a minimum of 8 hours a day • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; employment visa sponsorship is unavailable
