• Lead and continuously enhance the company’s AI Governance program • Serve as subject matter expert and primary point of contact for AI/LLM governance • Partner with Information Security, Software Engineering, IT Operations, Risk, and Legal/Compliance • Develop and maintain AI governance strategy, frameworks, policies, and controls aligned with NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 42001, and regulations • Own the AI Tool Inventory, Assessment, and Approval Process • Lead AI due diligence and ongoing monitoring for third-party and internally developed AI/LLM solutions • Coordinate Copilot, ChatGPT, and Claude citizen development processes and approval workflows • Govern AI agentic tools, including access and change management controls • Develop and maintain the AI Record Retention Policy • Enhance the company’s AI Use Policy • Partner with Information Security on LLM monitoring, connected app approvals, DLP controls, and data exposure monitoring • Document and monitor AI governance activities, decisions, tasks, and controls • Produce AI risk assessments, process flows, procedures, reports, metrics, and communications • Coordinate awareness, presentations, and training for internal stakeholders • Identify and respond to AI-related business risks • Design, test, monitor, and document controls mitigating AI-related risks • Support AI-related audits and regulatory examinations • Track emerging AI regulations, standards, and best practices • Establish metrics and KPIs for AI governance effectiveness • Collaborate on ITIL, COBIT, and ISO governance frameworks for AI/LLM technologies • Identify continuous-improvement and cost-saving opportunities • Participate in AI-related strategic initiatives, planning, and policymaking committees • Perform other duties as assigned
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field required • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered • Minimum seven years of experience required • IT Governance, Risk, Compliance, Security, and/or AI/ML-related experience required • Certification in AI governance, risk, or security preferred • ISACA Advanced in AI Audit (AAIA), AIGP, CRISC, CISA, or CGEIT preferred • Strong working knowledge of the NIST AI Risk Management Framework, ISO/IEC 42001, and emerging AI regulations such as the EU AI Act • Ability to analyze and manipulate data across Excel, GRC platforms, and online repositories • Process modelling and procedure development experience desired • Understanding of systems development lifecycle and change management concepts as applied to AI/ML model development and deployment • Understanding of financial institution governance and regulations including SSAE16/18, FFIEC, NSIT, and ISACA/COBIT • Familiarity with responsible AI concepts, model risk management, bias and fairness testing, explainability, and data privacy • Excellent written, oral communication, and presentation skills • Ability to translate complex AI and technical risk concepts for non-technical audiences • Ability to summarize and condense large amounts of information and data for executive synopsis • Ability to research and resolve problems in the evolving AI/LLM technology and regulatory landscape • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities simultaneously • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Accurate data entry skills • Commitment to company values
