• Execute the company's data strategy and analysis efforts within the enterprise data platform • Expand and optimize data and data pipeline architecture • Optimize data flow and collection from cross-functional areas • Partner with business unit leaders and Product, Data & Technology teams on data-related technical issues and infrastructure needs • Collect data from primary sources, optimize data architecture, improve data quality, and ensure timely delivery • Extract, load, and transform data from internal and third-party sources into the data lake using Snowflake and Informatica • Assemble complex data sets meeting functional and non-functional business requirements • Automate manual processes and improve infrastructure scalability • Build infrastructure for data extraction, transformation, and loading using SQL and ELT tools • Configure Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services environments and tools • Design and implement enterprise processes governing platform usage, performance, security, and audit compliance • Build analytics solutions providing insights into revenue, operational efficiency, and expense metrics • Secure personally identifiable information through table splitting, masking, access controls, and redundancy • Create data tools for data scientists and analytics team members • Assess data-source accuracy and data-gathering effectiveness • Develop tools and processes to monitor data warehouse performance and accuracy • Mentor less experienced data professionals and share technical knowledge and design patterns • Lead stakeholder reviews and design sessions • Provide data, reports, and information to management • Identify technology-related trends and errors and develop cross-functional solutions • Resolve high-level issues and contribute to technology-direction decisions • Monitor platform usage, database sizes, compute resources, and third-party costs • Champion data transformation and insight generation • Manage communications and partnerships with senior leaders, managers, and staff • Perform other duties as assigned
• Bachelor's Degree, BS in Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or related quantitative field, required • Minimum five to seven years' experience in Data Engineer related role(s) • Minimum of three years spent in a senior technical level role(s) required • Highly proficient in building and optimizing Big Data pipelines, architecture, and data sets • Highly proficient with data loading, processing, and data warehouse design techniques, including star or snowflake schema designs • Well versed in Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services administration, environment configuration, and setup • Proven expertise developing in Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services and related tools • Proven experience with data lake and warehouse best practices and leading marketplace products • Expert in creating data integrations using ETL tools and modern data pipes • Strong knowledge of Kafka, Spark, ESB and/or other messaging queues, real-time data integration, and stream processing technologies • Experience querying and analyzing SQL relational databases and NoSQL databases • Experience with R, Python, Java, Scala, C# or JavaScript • Experience collecting structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data from internal systems and third-party providers • Experience with Azkaban, Luigi, Airflow, or similar data pipeline and workflow management tools • Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes • Strong analytical, data governance, and problem-solving skills • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment • Strong detail orientation and organizational skills • Ability to lead effectively in a matrixed management environment • Ability to think critically and assess downstream impacts and risks • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and team-building skills • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and techniques • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, Wiki, collaborative cloud-based programs, and third-party software applications • Commitment to company values • Ability to work Monday-Friday business-week schedule • Ability to travel 5% or less • Ability to perform sedentary office work and frequent keyboard/mouse use • Ability to learn tasks, maintain focus, complete work independently, make timely decisions, and adhere to established protocols
