📋 Description

• Provide management and leadership to a tree crew while performing assigned jobs • Communicate daily with the General Foreman regarding all aspects of the job • Perform all skills required of tree trimmers with a safety-first mindset • Understand and manage assigned jobs • Maintain equipment inspection paperwork • Inspect and maintain equipment • Complete daily paperwork and reports • Complete timesheets accurately and on time • Perform other assigned tasks and responsibilities • Service Terre Haute, Sullivan, Vincennes, Princeton, Indiana, and surrounding areas, with possible travel • Perform tree trimming, climbing, bucket operation, tree identification, and drop-zone planning

🎯 Requirements

• Valid driver's license required • CDL A or B preferred; employer may assist with obtaining a CDL B license • Must be authorized to work in the United States • Proven experience as a trimmer/climber and bucket operator, often 2+ years • OSHA, Aerial Rescue, First Aid/CPR training • Leadership, crew coordination, training, equipment inspection, daily reporting, and problem-solving • Tree identification, hand/power tool operation, climbing/trimming techniques, and equipment maintenance • Ability to perform strenuous tasks, lift heavy brush, and work in various weather conditions • Bilingual ability is a plus • Ability to push/pull brush or wood exceeding 100 lbs • Ability to perform strenuous repetitive work while walking, bending, sitting, or climbing • Ability to use personal protective gear daily • Ability to identify job hazards, job briefings, and drop zones • Ability to identify tree assignments and initiate drop zones • Ability to evaluate mechanical or manual methods for tree assignments • Completion of safety videos and First Aid/CPR training programs • Completion of Aerial Rescue Training Program • Completion of Trimmer Standards • Climbing skills generally developed within 24+ months
