📋 Description

• Coordinate and administer front-office activities for patients, employees, and referral sources • Obtain patient and insurance information while complying with laws, regulations, company policies, and compliance programs • Counsel patients regarding financial responsibility after benefit verification • Collect co-payments and over-the-counter cash and complete cash receipts • Maintain accurate patient files and protect health information under HIPAA rules • Assist with patient follow-up and quality assurance activities • Handle cash receipts, billing-system data entry, and bank deposits under internal controls • Enter patient demographics and insurance verifications • Manage multiple phone lines • Prepare clear, concise, and accurate written documentation • File patient charts and related documentation • Coordinate clinician schedules and coverage for appointments and out-of-office calls • Process and monitor referrals, authorizations, and prescriptions • Perform other assigned duties and special projects

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required • Pass the Talent Bullseye assessment; a minimum score of 70 is required • Preferred minimum two to four years of customer service, administrative, or related experience • Experience in a receptionist position or with medical front-office procedures preferred • Valid driver's license or eligibility to obtain one, with a driving record meeting Hanger's Motor Vehicle Safety Policy and Procedures • Strong interpersonal, oral, telephone, and written communication skills • Ability to key 30 words per minute accurately • Ability to work with handicapped individuals • Understanding of the Alpha filing system • Understanding of medical reimbursement, medical terminology, and front-office receptionist duties preferred • Ability to use Windows-based software and email • Ability to use office equipment including fax machines, calculators, postage machines, and copiers • Ability to act with integrity, build patient trust, collaborate constructively, innovate, and focus on superior outcomes
