📋 Description

• Provide daily support to Underwriting in managing underwriting transactions, service standards, agency relationships, compliance rules, and documentation • Perform account triage, risk acceptability, file preparation, and basic to moderate complexity analysis of underwriting transactions • Order reports, document files, and communicate with agencies • Coordinate multiple deliverables to meet service standards and underwriting guidelines • Provide accurate rating instructions • Build knowledge of underwriting systems, workflows, compliance rules, lines of business, and coverages • Execute within granted UT authority and escalate issues appropriately to the underwriter and manager • Develop proficiency in underwriting analysis, file preparation, report assessment, and compliance rules • Learn territorial differences and business strategies for growth and profitability • Build and maintain working relationships with agents, underwriters, and peers

🎯 Requirements

• Associate’s degree preferred and/or 1-2 years of relevant industry experience • Ability to develop understanding of basic exposure/control analysis and coverage • Basic underwriting knowledge and awareness of how various roles/functions fit together • Ability to problem solve and leverage available resources • Service oriented with a high level of responsiveness • Ability to self-manage workload to meet underwriting goals and service standards • Effective verbal and written communication with internal and external partners
