📋 Description

• Serve as a client-facing environmental consultant and advisor to manufacturing and industrial clients • Lead water and air permitting strategies, including application development, agency coordination, permit maintenance, renewals, and modifications • Provide environmental compliance support and develop practical solutions for client regulatory obligations and operational needs • Evaluate client needs, regulatory requirements, site conditions, and business objectives to develop environmental strategies • Lead environmental compliance assessments, audits, program reviews, and corrective action planning • Support implementation of environmental compliance programs and corrective actions • Manage environmental projects and engagements, including scope, schedule, budget, deliverables, risks, and client expectations • Support business development by identifying client needs, developing scopes of work, contributing to proposals, and presenting environmental solutions • Build and maintain client relationships to support retention, expanded services, and new business opportunities • Prepare reports, presentations, proposals, action plans, and client communications • Coordinate with regulatory agencies, client representatives, technical teams, and other stakeholders • Communicate complex environmental requirements and recommendations in practical, business-focused language • Identify opportunities to expand environmental services and collaborate across service lines • Provide technical guidance and leadership to other environmental professionals • Balance multiple client engagements, competing priorities, and project deadlines • Support client site work, permitting activities, project execution, and relationship-building through domestic travel • Apply Tormod and Hargrove Policies and Procedures (HMS)

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Chemistry, Biology, Natural Resources, or a related technical field is preferred • Advanced degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience is a plus • Professional certifications, licenses, or relevant environmental credentials are strongly preferred • Significant environmental experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, chemical, energy, infrastructure, or similar facilities is required • Demonstrated expertise in water and air permitting, including application development, renewals, modifications, ongoing permit maintenance, and regulatory coordination, is required • Proven experience in environmental consulting, business development, project management, and client relationship management is required • Extensive knowledge of environmental permitting and regulatory compliance requirements, particularly water and air permitting • Ability to conduct environmental compliance assessments, audits, program reviews, and corrective action planning • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Strong presentation skills • Demonstrated project management skills • Strong business development skills • Ability to work effectively in a seller-doer consulting environment • Strong leadership and decision-making skills • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a virtual and multidisciplinary team environment • Strong organizational and time management skills • Familiarity with environmental compliance programs involving waste management, spill prevention, stormwater, hazardous materials, construction, and related environmental requirements is preferred • Experience supporting multi-site clients, industrial facilities, manufacturing plants, capital projects, operational changes, expansions, or regulatory compliance programs is preferred • Ability to travel throughout the continental United States and work effectively in industrial and manufacturing environments • Ability to obtain and maintain required client site access credentials, including a TWIC card when required • Ability to lift and carry in excess of 25 lbs. • Ability to travel by vehicle and/or commercial flight, including overnight trips • Ability to drive to client sites and maintain a valid U.S. driver's license • Ability to function safely for 8–10 hours per workday in manufacturing and industrial plant environments • Ability to wear appropriate PPE • Ability to access client facilities and perform site assessments, inspections, and other environmental field activities • Ability to travel approximately 40% throughout the continental United States • Must be authorized to work in the United States
