📋 Description

• Manage day-to-day accounting, forecasting accuracy, and budgeting for assigned HEI assets • Oversee month-end close, balance sheet reconciliation, process improvement, and the control environment of assigned hotels • Onboard and roll out HEI initiatives and directives to newly managed hotels • Fill management coverage gaps at properties • Supervise and direct hotel financial activities • Safeguard assets and prepare financial reports according to GAAP and HEI standards • Perform financial analysis and provide policy interpretations • Participate in Executive Committee and staff meetings • Assist managers with statements, distributions, and financial data • Correct deficiencies identified in Internal Audit reports • Maintain cash control systems, audit inventories, and review asset security • Prepare annual operating and capital expenditure budgets • Control capital expenditure programs and complete ROI analyses • Prepare and review financial statements and communicate financial issues to management • Coordinate the property's labor management system • Manage accounts receivable, credit policies, collections, and write-off meetings • Complete required financial reports and requests for HEI Corporate offices • Reconcile asset and liability account balances and manage accruals and prepaid accounts • Monitor inventory balances and comply with payment-deferral procedures • Maintain department job descriptions and standards • Establish cross-training programs and identify, screen, and attract management candidates • Perform other assigned duties

🎯 Requirements

• B.S. in Accounting or Hotel Management • 3+ years experience in Hotel or Hospitality related Finance and Accounting • Analytical approach to problems, regard for detail and accuracy • Assertive personality, professional demeanor • Effective verbal and written communication skills • Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences • Sound experience working within the hotel or service industry, preferably in a multi-unit capacity • Strong ability to successfully direct multiple and complex project work streams to successful completion • Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing business needs • Travel is required 100% of the time
