📋 Description

• Provide post-sales technical and operational support for HPE network products • Work daily with the customer remotely or at the customer's location • Support network issues, ongoing certification, and testing efforts • Understand the customer's organization, network implementation, and support processes • Conduct network information-gathering workshops and understand technical requirements for new designs • Test new tools, features, functionality, patches, and software fixes in laboratory, pre-production, and live network environments • Develop implementation and verification plans • Hold technology workshops, discuss equipment and network problems, and provide case-status updates and workarounds or solutions • Support design and planning of Juniper MX, QFX, EX series, and associated solutions • Support best-practice policies for Juniper/HPE product applications • Peer with other Resident Engineers to minimize risks associated with network upgrades or changes • Develop secondary skills in other HPE products • Communicate with internal JTAC, escalation, engineering teams, and the customer • Manage multiple projects and identify project risks

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or equivalent experience • 7 years' experience providing implementation and technical support of networking products in LAN, WAN, or Internet services environments • Experience in a technology vendor or service provider environment • JNCIE or CCIE Service Provider, or equivalent JUNOS CLI experience across MX, QFX, and EX series • Expert IP/routing experience with OSPF, ISIS, BGP, MPLS-TE, RSVP, LDP, IPv6, and routing policy • Knowledge of routing protocol operation, migration, and scaling mechanisms • Knowledge of routing policies at BGP peering points • Experience with VPNs and tunneling technologies including MPLS, EVPN, L3VPN, and VPLS • Ethernet switching, 802.1Q, and QoS knowledge • Software-defined networking knowledge • Strong interpersonal, customer interface, and presentation skills • Ability to break down work activities to achieve project goals • Ability to communicate project status and identify risk • Ability to work independently and in a team environment • Ability to manage multiple projects and work calmly under pressure • Cloud architecture experience • Understanding of BGP and route reflector topologies • Ability to communicate effectively and technically with internal JTAC, escalation, and engineering teams and with the customer • Scripting skills preferred, including Slax, Python, and Ansible • Familiarity with management tools and network analyzers • Trend analysis skills • Database experience a plus
