📋 Description

• Define and own the overall test strategy across unit, integration, end-to-end, extraction-regression, data-isolation, and UI testing • Own regression testing for the AI-assisted document extraction pipeline using known documents and expected structured results • Own row-level security and multi-tenant data-isolation testing at the PostgreSQL database layer, including queries that bypass the application layer • Own end-to-end browser test coverage for case intake, review, packet generation, and administration workflows • Use Playwright and Puppeteer for browser testing and packet/PDF output validation • Establish testing standards for engineering feature work • Review pull-request test coverage as a senior engineer reviews code • Own synthetic test-data generation with realistic edge cases while avoiding real, non-de-identified PHI • Bring test-coverage and definition-of-tested decisions to compliance stakeholders for sign-off • Serve as the primary point of judgment on testing and quality questions, escalating broader business or release-timing decisions to the CTO • Work with the technical stack including Vitest, React Testing Library, pytest, Azure Database for PostgreSQL, Azure DevOps pipelines, HIPAA, and SOC 2 Type 2 targets

🎯 Requirements

• 7–10 years in QA automation • Direct experience building a test practice from scratch at a company without an established QA organization • Demonstrated ownership of test strategy and tooling decisions • Hands-on production experience with Playwright or a comparable modern end-to-end framework • Familiarity with Puppeteer is a plus for document/PDF validation • Strong SQL skills and ability to write and reason about raw queries against PostgreSQL • Experience with modern frontend test frameworks such as Vitest, Jest, or similar • Experience with backend test frameworks such as pytest or similar • Ability to design tests for deterministic data-transformation problems, including AI/ML pipeline output validation and financial or structured data reconciliation • Hands-on experience using AI tools to generate, expand, or accelerate test coverage • Working knowledge of healthcare data compliance, or ability to ramp quickly with an internal compliance team • Ability to serve as the senior voice on quality without a QA team above • Healthcare or fintech background is an advantage • Familiarity with HIPAA and SOC 2 Type 2 compliance targets • Preferred availability during EST hours
