📋 Description

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned territory • Develop and execute strategies to acquire new customers and expand market share • Travel daily to customer and prospect sites to identify contacts and determine needs • Determine appropriate equipment or service solutions for customer needs • Design solutions, select equipment, set gross margins, and present solutions • Generate opportunities through cold calls, lead follow-up, networking, referrals, and other sales strategies • Maintain a project pipeline to meet territory and margin objectives • Maintain visits, calls, opportunities, and customer equipment records in Salesforce CRM • Manage existing customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and repeat business • Develop prospect relationships to win new business • Follow up regularly to understand customer needs and address issues • Advise prospects and customers on compressed air equipment, systems, and represented products • Deliver equipment proposal presentations, including written proposals and formal presentations • Negotiate pricing and terms and close sales agreements • Meet or exceed equipment sales targets and promote PM agreements, service, parts, and rentals • Monitor industry trends, market conditions, and competitive landscape • Maintain knowledge of compressors, dryers, filters, ancillary equipment, and other Hitachi Air Center products • Provide technical support to customers and prospects • Maintain accurate sales activity, customer interaction, and proposal records • Collaborate with sales support, service support, and internal stakeholders • Participate in approved trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities • Follow up after sales to ensure high-quality service • Provide a three-month monthly forecast for inventory and business planning • Comply with the Hitachi Global Air Power US Code of Ethics, related policies, safety rules, and workplace safety objectives

🎯 Requirements

• Must reside in Idaho or Northern Nevada; location areas include Twin Falls, Boise, or Northern NV • Bachelor’s Degree or 2-5 years of relevant industrial outside sales experience • Three or more years’ previous sales experience with an industrial sales and service organization or completion of two or more years of college courses • Prefer experience in the compressed air industry • Ability to communicate orally and in writing and receive detailed information in person or by phone • Ability to perform routine mathematical calculations and accurately transfer numbers to reports, quotes, and computer entries • Ability to work well with others and be detail oriented • Ability to ascertain customer needs, select proper equipment, and complete sales professionally and with integrity • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to read and understand pump curves and hydraulics and perform compressor horsepower and capacity calculations • Ability to evaluate pump and compressor applications and select appropriate equipment, accessories, and service using selection guides and engineering data • Ability to work with limited supervision • Possess a valid license and be insurable • Willingness and ability to undertake extensive travel and long hours of driving, including out-of-town sales within the designated region
