📋 Description

• Define the end-to-end user journey for digital experiences on HMH's teaching and learning platform • Apply discipline-specific knowledge, assessment, social-emotional learning, differentiation, standards analysis, data analytics, multilingual learner support, accessibility, culturally responsive education, and metadata expertise • Create and adapt content and metadata for research-based, digital-first experiences • Develop and iteratively optimize teaching and learning solutions in various media formats as part of an agile scrum team • Develop instructionally sound content within capacity constraints and market expectations • Apply agile practices, meet deadlines, maintain quality, and participate in retrospectives • Advocate for and participate in user research, including Teacher Panels and surveys • Summarize research findings and use them to drive solutions • Analyze platform, usage, efficacy, task difficulty, time-on-task, and growth data • Use data to propose solutions and communicate reasoning behind development decisions • Deliver iterative solutions on time and within budget that meet market needs • Communicate with core and extended team members and meet educator and student needs with senior-team guidance

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in education, Instructional Design, or related field • 3-4 years of experience in instructional design for K-12 students or a combination of K-12 instructional design and teaching • Bilingual (Spanish/English), with effective verbal and written communication • Expertise in K-12 Reading instruction • Experience designing content for biliteracy instruction (Spanish/English) and multilingual education • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel • K-12 teaching experience (preferred) • Digital instructional material development and delivery (preferred) • Experience working on agile scrum teams and JIRA (preferred) • Experience working in a content management system (preferred) • Experience using data analysis/interpretation to inform solutions to market problems (preferred) • Ability to collaborate via face-to-face, conference calls, and online meetings • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods; constantly operate a computer
