📋 Description

• Accountable for operational performance, including freight/fleet, labor management, service level, working capital, and operating expenses • Supervise operations and management teams for specified customers or territories • Ensure financial and operational objectives are achieved and policies, procedures, fleet, and freight standards are followed • Coach managers on employee retention, customer satisfaction, service, safety awareness, and workers’ compensation management • Confer with customers and supervising personnel regarding service or equipment questions, problems, and requests • Oversee personnel and driver utilization, service scheduling, and DOT compliance • Manage communications within assigned customer bases and build customer relationships • Address management performance issues through coaching and discipline, including termination when appropriate • Oversee equipment maintenance scheduling • Maintain and present KPIs internally and to customers • Maintain records of customer requests, services, charges, expenses, driver discipline, and dispatch information • Ensure dispatch sheets and employee payroll are accurate and timely • Assist with new acquisition conversions in specified regions • Develop and maintain safe working environments for regional branches • Identify associate training needs and provide training resources • Work with the Regional VP of Operations to optimize financial performance and efficiencies • Train management on company policies, procedures, and operations • Visit assigned locations to ensure compliance • Develop strong internal and external customer relationships • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED • Bachelor’s degree preferred • 5+ years in the transportation industry • Experience with developing talent in managers • Experience managing to a P&L • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written • Strong relationship building skills • Excellent organizational and planning skills • Strong customer service orientation • Proficient in Microsoft products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint • Must be located near a major airport • Ability to travel up to 60%
