📋 Description

• Oversee the development, maintenance, and support of technical infrastructure including network, hardware, database, and system software components • Lead portfolio-level Principal meetings to maintain alignment, consistency, and knowledge sharing • Collaborate with leaders on build-versus-buy technology decisions • Develop proofs of concept with new technologies and support portfolio adoption • Monitor resource usage and drive cost-reduction opportunities and enhancements • Act as an escalation point for teams facing extremely complex challenges • Provide leadership, mentoring, and coaching to supported teams • Collaborate on annual and mid-year reviews and provide performance feedback • Attract, retain, develop, and motivate top talent • Work with Distinguished Engineers to define technology solutions and align team strategies • Identify and remove roadblocks and bottlenecks across cross-functional projects • Influence technology roadmaps and drive thought leadership and innovation • Escalate and help resolve high-priority issues and outages • Support project, product, and support teams with technology questions • Work with vendors to identify and implement software feature enhancements • Promote successful use of tooling and technology across local teams

🎯 Requirements

• Must be eighteen years of age or older • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States • Minimum education: high school diploma and/or GED • Minimum of 9 years of work experience • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Experience with platform tools and technologies, including Kubernetes and CNCF-associated projects • Familiarity with Red Hat OpenShift and Pivotal Cloud Foundry • One field of expertise should include a programming language or key knowledge in multiple infrastructure domains • Mastery in assigned domains • Ability to understand complicated systems quickly • Active participation in or leadership of professional groups affiliated with specific domains • Experience developing and evangelizing broad technology strategies • Preferred qualifications include 7–9 years of relevant work experience and 2–3+ years of previous leadership experience • Experience with SQL Server and Oracle is a plus • Experience using AI-assisted development practices
