📋 Description

• Lead engineering talent and technology delivery for the Pro Quote Center Nonstock team • Partner with Product, business, and technology stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable solutions • Influence technical direction and drive alignment and execution across teams • Develop engineering talent and foster collaboration, innovation, and engineering excellence • Collaborate with UX, engineering, and product management to create secure, reliable, scalable software solutions • Document, review, and ensure quality and change control standards • Write custom code or scripts to automate infrastructure, monitoring services, and test cases • Work with vendors and partners to implement critical tooling and platforms • Create dashboards, logging, alerting, and proactive issue responses • Contribute to enterprise-wide tools for destructive testing, automation, and engineering empowerment • Evaluate new technologies for enterprise adoption • Lead and participate in review board sessions • Provide support for engineers out of the office • Field questions from engineers, product teams, and support teams • Monitor tools and encourage collaboration across product teams • Provide production application support and act as a technical escalation point • Lead, mentor, coach, attract, retain, and develop Software Engineers • Conduct annual and mid-year reviews • Guide team members in strategy, alignment, analysis, and execution • Participate in learning activities around modern software design and development practices • Learn new technologies and best practices and build relationships with technology leaders at other companies

🎯 Requirements

• Must be eighteen years of age or older • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States • Mastery of an object oriented programming language, preferably Java • Bachelor's degree or equivalent degree in a field related to the job • Minimum 5 years of work experience • Mastery of a modern scripting language, preferably Python • Mastery of a modern web application framework such as Ruby on Rails, Spring MVC, or Node.js • Mastery of writing SQL queries against a relational database • Mastery of modern product development processes and pipelines • Proficient in troubleshooting and issue resolution techniques • Proficient in system monitoring and log analysis techniques • Capable of understanding complicated systems quickly • Experience guiding junior team members through Software Engineering fundamentals in a professional setting • Experience managing and growing team members in a professional setting • Experience balancing workloads across teams • Experience managing vendor relationships • Experience translating high-level strategy to tactical execution
