📋 Description

• Join the executive team as a full partner in setting strategy • Form views on product, technology, and market direction and present them to product leadership, the CEO, and the executive team • Sharpen existing strategic bets and identify new ones • Build alignment across the executive team and establish shared direction • Explain engineering direction clearly and repeatedly to engineers, managers, executives, and the wider company • Lead and continually improve a high-performing engineering organization • Aim engineering talent at the company’s biggest opportunities • Adjust organizational structure, goals, and ways of working while preserving team strengths • Lead through technical credibility during the AI-driven shift in software development

🎯 Requirements

• Experience leading engineering through large-scale changes in direction, not just growth • Shipped software with AI tools within the last 12 months • Special talent for collaboration and improving executive teams • Interest in shaping strategy as well as executing it • Experience at a larger company and understanding of what breaks as companies scale • Risk tolerance of someone from an early-stage startup • Comfortable with uncertainty, rapid change, and shaping new bets toward product-market fit • Experience leading distributed teams • Strong written and in-person communication • Interest in developer tools and good taste in them • Shared company values • Ability to verify identity and eligibility to work • Must not require visa sponsorship or visa transfer support
