📋 Description

• Plan, direct, and coordinate enterprise-scale and complex projects and initiatives involving revenue cycle, hospital and clinic operations, information technology, and business strategy • Execute project plans using project management best practices • Ensure project goals, metrics, ROI targets, compliance, and governance requirements are achieved • Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings across the Houston Methodist system • Drive change management by communicating project information, timelines, objectives, and expectations to stakeholders • Lead, coach, and motivate project team members, including leadership and frontline staff • Validate work plans, responsibilities, scope of authority, staffing requirements, and resource allocation • Plan and organize project life cycles for small and medium-sized projects • Shadow and round in assigned areas or projects to gather information about people, processes, and priorities • Prepare reports for management, clients, and other stakeholders • Coordinate with Internal Audit and Business Practices to ensure regulatory compliance and develop risk mitigation plans • Maintain Internal Consulting team standards and departmental processes • Develop methodology to ensure compliance with regulations and policies • Drive project performance toward financial and process improvement outcomes, including ROI and project KPIs • Identify optimization opportunities with positive financial impact • Support Senior Strategy Consultant and leadership with improvement initiatives and system standardization of business and operational processes

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, nursing or related field required • MHA, MBA, MSN or related degree preferred • Five years' experience implementing and supporting complex medium- to enterprise-scale projects, preferably in a healthcare environment • Three years' experience with a master's degree • PMP certification preferred • Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English • Extraordinary communication, organizational and leadership skills • Extensive experience in grievance management, mediation and conflict negotiation, and crisis intervention • Ability to solve complex patient relations issues independently • Critical thinking, problem-solving, and mature judgment • Knowledge of medical ethics and legal issues, including Advance Directives, Ethics Committee, Patient Bills of Rights, federal and state law, and Joint Commission standards • Ability to use measurement tools, integrate data, and prepare meaningful reports • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of medical terminology • Basic to intermediate computer competency, including Microsoft Office Suite and healthcare information systems • Ability to travel within and outside the Houston Metropolitan area • Ability to participate in on-call coverage during emergencies
