📋 Description

• Own media relations, including building and maintaining relationships with journalists and identifying proactive media opportunities • Draft and distribute press releases • Support executive thought leadership content and interviews • Plan, write, and distribute internal communications, including executive updates, newsletters, and leadership messaging • Partner with HR and business leaders to align internal communications around key company initiatives, onboarding, and employee engagement • Drive adoption and engagement of internal communications platforms such as Viva Engage • Support crisis and issues communications as needed • Manage social media content planning, creation, and distribution • Monitor brand sentiment across channels • Track and report on media placements and internal communications engagement metrics • Collaborate with the Creative Marketing Specialist and Digital Marketing Specialist to ensure consistent messaging and branding across communications channels

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience • 3+ years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or internal communications • Experience ideally within financial services, insurance, or a related B2B industry • Excellent written, verbal, and client-facing communication skills • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint • Ability to follow policies and procedures • Self-motivated with strong attention to detail • Travel required up to 10% of the time • Ability to remain in a stationary position up to 75% of the workday in a remote, home-office setting
