📋 Description

• Identify, develop, and qualify new business opportunities across grid modernization, data centers, renewable energy, electrification, utility transmission and distribution, and strategic EPC partnerships • Develop and execute market growth strategies aligned with Systems Control's business objectives • Monitor industry trends, capital spending plans, regulatory developments, and emerging technologies influencing substation investment • Analyze market conditions and competitive activity to identify growth and market share expansion opportunities • Establish and strengthen relationships with utility executives, engineering leaders, EPC firms, consultants, developers, and industry stakeholders • Promote Systems Control's Integrated Substation Solutions to prospective customers and strategic partners • Influence project specifications and early-stage planning to improve win rates and project positioning • Provide customer insights to the executive team and support customer growth strategies and pursuit plans • Track major capital projects from concept through award using Salesforce and other business intelligence tools • Coordinate customer engagement strategies for major utility, renewable energy, data center, electrification, and grid modernization projects • Collaborate with engineering, estimating, operations, and leadership teams • Assist with long-term sales forecasts, market assessments, and business planning • Represent Systems Control at conferences, trade shows, customer events, and utility associations • Build relationships with EEI, IEEE, NRECA, APPA, DistribuTECH, and regional utility associations • Deliver presentations and thought leadership on industry trends, grid modernization, substation solutions, and energy infrastructure • Provide market intelligence and customer insights to senior leadership

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred • 5+ years of experience in utility sales, business development, electrical infrastructure, power systems, or related industries • Strong understanding of utility transmission and distribution, substations, renewables, data center power infrastructure, electrification, or grid modernization projects • Demonstrated success developing customer relationships and influencing large capital infrastructure projects • Strong verbal, written, presentation, and negotiation skills • Experience utilizing CRM platforms such as Salesforce • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and business analytics tools • Ability to travel up to 60+% • Valid driver's license • Experience working with electric utilities, municipal utilities, co-ops, independent power producers, renewable developers, data center customers, EPC firms, or other capital project stakeholders • Knowledge of substation design, utility construction practices, or power delivery infrastructure • Familiarity with data center power infrastructure requirements and market trends • Experience supporting strategic pursuits involving projects exceeding $10M in value • Existing utility and EPC industry relationships • Strategic business development • Executive relationship management • Sales planning and execution • Market intelligence and analysis • Commercial negotiations • Forecasting and pipeline management
