📋 Description

• Generate and implement efficient sourcing and category management strategies • Manage Humana’s supply portfolio and ensure transparency of spending • Reconcile vendor purchases with invoices, validate pricing, and verify contract compliance • Monitor sales and margins through vendor negotiations and promotional opportunities • Manage pharmaceutical company relationships for drug purchasing • Advise executives on significant functional and segment-specific strategies • Develop category strategies using supply market analyses, Porter’s Five Forces, should-cost models, and domain expertise • Develop risk- and probability-adjusted multi-year savings forecasts and annual savings goals • Leverage internal and external resources efficiently within the operating model • Analyze supplier capabilities, goals, risk profiles, and financial positions • Implement supplier segmentation programs across categories and suppliers • Develop multi-year sourcing pipelines creating cost savings, supplier development, and total value for Humana • Partner with the Continuous Improvement team on multi-team project implementations • Establish compliance for the preferred-supplier program through change management and communications • Partner with Procurement Operations and Corporate Payables to provide a seamless associate experience • Develop and implement sourcing practices for environmental sustainability and supplier code of conduct • Mitigate legal and commercial risk for Humana • Report to the Procurement Director

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in procurement sourcing and contracting • Experience developing and implementing category strategies from assessment through execution roadmaps • Experience with RFI, RFQ, and RFP sourcing processes • Experience negotiating with third parties • Experience building category strategies • Experience conducting financial analyses supporting business proposals • Experience partnering with and presenting to leadership • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, including assertiveness, courage, and influence • Excellent relationship management skills, mature confidence, and integrity • Business analysis skills for implementing sourcing programs and services aligned with business partner strategies • Ability to work autonomously as a lead and as part of a team • Ability to collaborate and act on feedback across business and sourcing environments • Willingness to accommodate EST/CST working hours • Minimum home internet speed of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload • Ability to work from a dedicated space without ongoing interruptions to protect PHI/HIPAA information • College degree in Finance, Business, or another related field (desired) • Experience leading procurement strategy for outsourcing services (desired) • Project management experience (desired) • Spend analytics and reporting experience (desired)
