📋 Description

• Contribute to month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities related to cash and balance sheet accounts • Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving outstanding items • Lead and support accounting and cash operations initiatives involving process improvements, system enhancements, implementations, integrations, automation, policy updates, and organizational change management • Develop project plans, manage timelines, coordinate stakeholders, and drive accountability for project deliverables • Reconcile high-volume cash activity, including Accounts Payable disbursements, premium billing and cash receipts, claims payments, and related clearing accounts • Monitor aged reconciling items and escalate issues to management • Partner with AP, Billing, Claims, Treasury, and IT teams to research discrepancies and improve cash-related processes • Support process improvement projects focused on automation, standardization, and enhanced reporting dashboards • Ensure compliance with internal controls, Model Audit Rule requirements, and audit readiness expectations • Prepare reconciliation documentation and support internal and external audit requests • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards showing reconciliation status, exceptions, and cash metrics • Report to the Associate Director of General Accounting

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of progressive accounting, reconciliation, or financial reporting experience • Bachelor's degree in Accounting • Experience preparing and reviewing complex balance sheet reconciliations • Experience with month-end close • Experience supporting process improvement and automation projects • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills • Proficiency with accounting systems • CPA, CPA candidate, or equivalent professional certification preferred • Cash account reconciliation experience preferred • Experience working with large data sets preferred • Experience with BlackLine, Power BI, or similar financial reporting and reconciliation tools preferred • Experience leading process improvement, automation, or system implementation projects preferred • Experience in healthcare, insurance, or managed care environments preferred • Knowledge of premium billing, claims payment cycles, treasury operations, or cash management processes preferred • Minimum 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload internet service for home-based work • Dedicated workspace without ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI/HIPAA information
