📋 Description

• Research, interpret, and apply U.S. GAAP, SEC guidance, and emerging accounting standards • Prepare clear, audit-ready technical accounting memoranda and documentation • Analyze and document complex and non-routine transactions, including business combinations and acquisitions, revenue recognition, leases, stock-based compensation, consolidations, goodwill and intangible assets, debt and equity transactions, foreign currency, and software capitalization • Support technical accounting matters for a complex healthcare services organization, including risk management programs, self-insurance arrangements, medical malpractice liabilities, and physician compensation programs • Partner with Financial Reporting, Corporate Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, Tax, Legal, Operations, Corporate Development, Human Resources, Information Technology, and external auditors • Assess accounting implications and ensure appropriate reporting treatment • Support quarterly and annual financial reporting and disclosures • Support accounting standard implementations, due diligence, purchase accounting, mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and other strategic transactions

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; advanced degree or additional accounting education is a plus • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with significant experience in technical accounting, financial reporting, or a public accounting environment • CPA certification preferred • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, accounting research methodologies, and financial statement disclosures • Experience with IFRS is a plus • Proficiency with ERP systems such as Workday, Oracle, SAP, or equivalent • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills • Excellent written and verbal communication, project management, organization, and collaboration skills • High level of professionalism, integrity, attention to detail, and ability to translate complex accounting guidance into practical business solutions
