• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned captive clients, building strong, consultative relationships with owners, board members, and senior leadership • Coordinate and support captive board meetings, including agenda development, preparation of materials, minutes, and follow‑up on action items • Provide strategic guidance on captive performance, structure, and long‑term planning • Proactively identify client needs, emerging risks, and opportunities for program optimization • Oversee day‑to‑day captive operations, ensuring adherence to governance documents, business plans, and service agreements • Monitor underwriting results, loss experience, reserves, and program performance in partnership with actuaries and claims administrators • Coordinate with fronting carriers, reinsurers, brokers, and third‑party administrators (TPAs) as applicable • Support formation, restructuring, expansion, or run‑off of captive programs as needed • Review and coordinate preparation of financial statements, management reports, and regulatory filings • Serve as liaison with auditors, actuaries, tax providers, and regulators • Ensure compliance with domicile laws and regulations, including annual filings, premium taxes, and licensing requirements • Assist with capital planning, dividend strategies, and solvency monitoring • Partner with internal accounting, compliance, and advisory teams to deliver high‑quality captive management services • Contribute to continuous improvement of processes, reporting, and service delivery • Mentor junior captive professionals and support team development where applicable • Support new captive formations or expansions through technical expertise and client presentations • Participate in client meetings, industry events, and thought leadership initiatives • Identify opportunities to expand services with existing captive clients
• Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field • 7+ years of experience in captive insurance management, commercial insurance, risk management, or a related discipline • Strong understanding of captive insurance structures, governance, and operations, prior experience working with Risk Retention Groups preferable • Experience working directly with senior clients, boards, or executive stakeholders • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills • Professional designations such as ACI, CPCU, ARM, or progress toward certification • Experience working with domestic and/or international captive domiciles • Knowledge of reinsurance structures and fronting arrangements • Client‑focused, consultative mindset • Strong financial and analytical acumen • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines • Ability to translate technical insurance and financial concepts into clear, actionable insights • Proven problem‑solving and decision‑making skills • Collaborative and adaptable in a dynamic environment • Periodic travel for client meetings, board meetings, and domiciliary visits
