📋 Description

• Support communities with implementing best-practice strategies and provide expert consulting and programmatic expertise • Support the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development by delivering technical assistance and training on Section 3 and Federal Labor requirements • Support community and economic development priorities, including workforce development, job training and employment placement, small business and microenterprise development, and other HUD-aligned activities • Work with public housing authorities and HUD Community Planning and Development grantees, including CDBG and HOME programs • Educate grantees and subrecipients on Section 3, Davis-Bacon, and other labor requirements • Develop and deliver training sessions, conference presentations, workshops, and webinars • Facilitate technical assistance engagements in person or virtually through web-based software • Apply best practices and innovative strategies related to HUD programs • Contribute to designing tools, drafting reports, and developing policy guidance

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Public Administration, Planning, Public Policy, Government or a related discipline, or minimum 10 years of professional experience in a similar field • Minimum of 10 years’ knowledge of HUD programs, specifically Section 3 and Davis-Bacon requirements • Demonstrated success developing and delivering trainings, workshops, and webinars • Experience with program assessments and evaluation, facilitation, and public speaking to varied audiences • Up to 25% travel may be required • Previous work with Department of Labor, WIOA, Youth Build, workforce investment boards, and/or job training programs is preferred • Broad knowledge of Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity laws and requirements is preferred • Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities • Ability to multitask across projects and responsibilities • Proficiency in MS Office Applications: Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel
