📋 Description

• Provide senior-level technical expertise and lead complex transmission line design and analysis work • Complete transmission line designs from conceptual engineering through final design, including EFM, conductor sizing, induction, impedance, losses, and voltage drop analysis • Perform conductor economic evaluations, lightning performance studies, grounding calculations, and electrical clearance determinations per NESC and applicable standards • Interpret and apply NERC, FERC, and regional regulatory requirements and ensure project deliverable compliance • Prepare and review specifications, data sheets, RFQs, bid evaluations, vendor drawings, and purchase recommendations • Collaborate with project managers on scopes, schedules, budgets, staffing plans, construction support, and change order management • Perform and review QA/QC for engineering deliverables, production drawings, CAD outputs, and construction administration activities • Resolve design-related field issues • Conduct and lead field inspections, measurements, calculations, and installation reviews for public and private clients • Develop and present technical reports • Support marketing and business development efforts • Build strong relationships with clients and contractors • Mentor junior engineers • Ensure high-quality deliverables across transmission line engineering projects for utility clients

🎯 Requirements

• B.S. in Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, or Power Engineering (or related field) • 5+ years of transmission line engineering experience (design, analysis, modeling, or similar) • 5+ years of experience working with an electric utility, EPC, or engineering consulting firm • 5+ years of experience working in PLS-CADD • Knowledge of industry standards such as NESC, IEEE, ANSI, FERC-881, and FAC-008 standards (preferred) • Ability to plan and manage assignments and clearly communicate barriers to complete tasks on budget/schedule (preferred) • Initiative to embrace continuous learning toward becoming an expert on the programs and services represented (preferred) • Ability to work productively from a home office without direct supervision • Qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records will be considered • Must submit the application directly; bot and third-party applications may be excluded
