Built on AWS GovCloud with CJIS-aligned controls, SOC 2 and FIPS endpoints, iCrimeFighter emphasizes chain-of-custody logging, secure transfer of large video files, scalable cloud storage, and 24/7 support. It targets prosecutors, law enforcement, and county agencies, serving 900+ agencies across 22+ states.

📋 Description

• Design and implement secure, scalable APIs and microservices using Node.js and AWS • Contribute to Angular web architecture and UI component design; own the frontend-backend contract • Collaborate with the iOS/Swift team to optimize mobile API integration, auth flows, and data sync • Evaluate and refactor architecture for scalability, maintainability, and compliance (CJIS, SOC2, OWASP) • Lead decisions on caching strategy, database design, API versioning, and multitenancy patterns • Embed security best practices at every layer — encryption, audit logging, least-privilege access, and chain-of-custody • Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and threat modeling • Document system designs, API contracts, and security decisions for audits and team knowledge sharing.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development • At least 2 years in Node.js backend • Meaningful exposure to modern web frontends (Angular, React, or Vue) • Strong command of AWS services, deployment automation, and cloud scalability patterns • Proven experience designing and refactoring complex systems with real architectural trade-offs • Solid grasp of secure API design, identity management (OAuth2, JWT), data encryption, and integrity principles • Clear technical communication and documentation skills.
