• Plan and monitor shipments within ICU Medical’s distribution network • Build and schedule loads • Manage shipper and consignee relationships • Manage carriers and KPI scorecards • Track and trace shipments across truckload, LTL, drayage, ocean, parcel, and air transportation modes • Resolve shipment issues involving labor disruptions, weather, natural disasters, and other interruptions • Follow up on problem loads and update the Manager, Global Transportation • Manage and communicate shipment tracking information • Support carriers and the global supply chain function with transportation documentation, including BOL, SLI, SED, and hazardous declarations • Obtain carrier rate quotes for projects and new transportation lanes • Schedule and reschedule delivery appointments with origin-facility dispatchers • Maintain Oracle Transportation Management System data and maximize preferred carrier use • Tailor load scheduling to meet customer requirements • Establish and maintain carrier routings across the ICU Medical transportation network • Investigate product overages, shortages, and damage; document and file carrier claims • Support carrier selection efforts and changes to preferred carrier usage • Assist the Senior Transportation Analyst with freight-data compilation, analysis, and reporting • Contribute to transportation-network continuous improvement and optimization • Perform additional duties and special projects assigned by leadership • Work primarily in a sedentary professional office environment using standard office equipment
• Must be at least 18 years of age • Bachelor’s degree in a related field • Minimum of 2 years of experience managing transportation providers of temperature controlled substances • Experience in Federal and State motor carrier regulations • Transportation Management System (TMS) experience • Knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) • Knowledge of transportation operation processes including LTL, Truckload, Intermodal, Parcel, Ocean, and Air • High analytical proficiency • Ability to use logic and reasoning to evaluate alternative solutions and make fact-based decisions • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Good organizational skills, including planning, organizing, prioritizing, multitasking, and time management • Attention to detail • Medical Device or Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred • Oracle ERP/OTM System experience preferred • Exposure to and experience in managing cold chain, Controlled Room Temperature (CRT), hazardous materials, and controlled substance transportation preferred • This role is open to remote work in any U.S. state other than Colorado, California, Connecticut, Montana, Maine, or New York
