📋 Description

• Design, develop, and execute system-level test procedures in an Agile environment • Ensure systems meet functional, performance, and latency requirements • Build, scale, and maintain a test automation framework using Playwright and Cucumber for web applications and APIs • Design, develop, and execute complex automated software test plans • Analyze requirements and generate artifacts tables and test approaches for automated test-script development • Review testing documentation, develop testing standards, define testing criteria, analyze test results, and present results to developers and end users • Develop and execute unit, process, functional, system integration, and acceptance test scenarios, scripts, and procedures • Evaluate test bases and refine requirements for testability, clarity, and correctness • Create and maintain databases of known test defects • Design positive and negative test cases traceable to system requirements • Plan test schedules and strategies in accordance with project roadmaps and delivery dates • Participate in product design reviews and provide input on requirements, designs, schedules, and potential problems • Assist with software test plans covering strategy, approach, process, schedule, pass/fail criteria, test environment architecture, and test lab resources • Set up, configure, and maintain infrastructure servers and test environments from scratch • Deploy, manage, and configure automated test suites on staging servers or distributed grid nodes • Ensure stable headless execution and reliable artifact/report collection • Analyze risk identifiers and document software defect diagnostics and proposed solutions • Support test readiness reviews and formal system verification of requirements • Collaborate with software developers, engineers, business analysts, and requirements personnel on static analysis and dynamic testing • Work with Atlassian tool suites including JIRA and Zephyr • Support a U.S. Navy program by contributing to secure, scalable, next-generation solutions and technical strategy

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in IT related field • 7+ years professional test engineering experience • Must be able to obtain and maintain up to a Secret security clearance • Active Secret security clearance preferred • United States Citizenship is required as part of the eligibility criteria to obtain this type of security clearance • Must reside in the continental United States • Experience developing software test plans, test cases, and test scripts • Automation testing experience • Experience with Selenium, MS Playwright, Cucumber, Cypress, TestNG, JUnit, or other automation testing frameworks/tools • Experience with LoadRunner and other manual testing tools • Proficient in designing and executing end-to-end automation frameworks using Playwright paired with Cucumber • Expertise with Java and JavaScript with Selenium WebDriver in data-driven and/or behavior-driven frameworks • Experience with functional and regression testing procedures • Experience designing, writing, testing, and documenting efficient testing solutions • Experience with User Interface Acceptance Testing, backend testing, and software testing • Experience with API Testing using Postman and Rest-Assured or comparable tools • Experience provisioning, configuring, and maintaining Linux infrastructure servers or cloud instances for standalone test environments • Experience with Linux and Bash scripting, Java and JavaScript frameworks, HTML5/CSS3, AngularJS, jQuery, D3, RESTful APIs/JSON, and SQL is a plus • Strong understanding of networking, permissions, and server configurations • Experience working in a DevOps setting preferred • Demonstrated experience with Continuous Integration using Jenkins, Maven, Jira, Git/GitHub/GitBash/Stash/Bitbucket • Knowledge of JMeter and LoadRunner is a bonus • Ability to assess software readiness and determine pass/fail criteria • Ability to determine test approaches, develop test schedules, and identify testing risks • Ability to capture test data, analyze test results, and communicate findings and deficiencies • Knowledge of quality assurance testing automation principles, practices, and procedures • Experience with all phases of the SDLC as applied to software testing • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Team player, quick learner, proactive, and positive attitude
