📋 Description

• Coordinate and oversee performance and programmatic requirements associated with environmental compliance at water and wastewater facilities • Lead and direct environmental compliance for water and wastewater projects • Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal environmental laws and regulations, including permits and reporting requirements • Assist projects with understanding regulatory requirements and provide compliance guidance and resources • Conduct compliance audits and assessments and implement corrective actions • Track compliance metrics and corrective action plan progress • Assist with regulatory inspections and responses • Monitor new regulations, standards, industry best practices, and emerging requirements • Conduct investigations into regulatory environmental compliance concerns • Develop and continuously improve environmental recordkeeping and reporting programs • Develop and conduct staff training on environmental compliance policies and procedures • Develop and implement compliant operating policies and procedures for water and wastewater projects • Serve as a point of contact for regulatory agencies and stakeholders • Perform project due diligence and project startup support as needed • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree and 7+ years of experience in environmental management, compliance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in the water and wastewater sector • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, including the Clean Water Act and Safe Drinking Water Act • Knowledge of NPDES, stormwater permits, water quality regulations, CWA, and SDWA • Valid Driver's License • Water or Wastewater Operator Certification is a plus • Ability to produce high-quality documents for clients and regulatory agencies • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and internet • Advanced knowledge of EPA regulations • Water and wastewater sector experience • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally and collaborate with others • Ability to identify and solve complex issues • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks, projects, and priorities • Ability to train others and take on leadership responsibilities • Ability to perform required physical activities, including sitting, standing, walking on uneven ground, climbing stairs, bending, and lifting up to 20 lbs. • Willingness and ability to travel 50% of the time
