📋 Description

• Lead UX design activities for web-based and enterprise applications from discovery through design, development, testing, implementation, and continuous improvement • Translate business requirements, user needs, workflows, and technical constraints into intuitive and effective user experiences • Conduct user research, stakeholder interviews, discovery sessions, and usability assessments • Develop personas, journey maps, user flows, process flows, information architecture, and experience maps • Create wireframes, mockups, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity designs • Use Figma, FigJam, Adobe Creative Cloud, or comparable UX/UI design platforms • Plan and conduct usability testing, analyze findings, and incorporate feedback into iterative design improvements • Apply Human-Centered Design and user-centered design principles throughout the product development lifecycle • Ensure digital solutions incorporate Section 508 accessibility requirements and WCAG principles • Present design concepts, research findings, prototypes, and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders • Support a technology program modernizing and enhancing mission-critical digital applications and services

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Resource Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or related fields • Certifications in relevant UX software plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience may substitute for education • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience may substitute for education • Expertise using qualitative and quantitative research with staff and the public • Demonstrated experience working with complex data models and processes • 3 years of demonstrated professional experience in UX design, user-centered design, interaction design, product design, or related digital design disciplines • Expertise designing mock-ups, click-through prototypes, or coded prototypes • Expertise balancing technical and experiential tradeoffs and communicating approaches with conceptual diagrams and visual interface designs • Expertise creating contextual design deliverables connecting research findings and UI designs • At least 5 years of experience working iteratively with stakeholders using human-centered design principles • Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust • Preferred: Experience designing applications used in healthcare, benefits, government services, or complex enterprise environments • Preferred: Experience in DevSecOps and Agile software development environments • Preferred: Advanced proficiency with Figma and FigJam • Preferred: Experience creating and managing enterprise-level design systems and reusable component libraries
