📋 Description

• Design and ship tools helping employers manage health plan contributions for employees • Shape the ICHRA experience across the Lucie Marketplace ecosystem • Take features from discovery through delivery • Drive consistent, scalable, and intuitive experiences across the Lucie suite • Define user experiences supporting Oscar’s mission to make healthcare affordable and accessible • Become an expert on product users and their journeys • Own the design process and partner with product managers, tech leads, engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders • Collaborate with product designers through critiques and contributions to the design team • Perform user research and usability testing to generate actionable insights • Design visually compelling experiences and contribute to Oscar’s Anatomy design language system • Bring the Oscar brand to life in product experiences • Comply with applicable laws and regulations • Report to the SVP, Product, Design, Data

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in Product/UX Design • 2+ concrete examples of designing and shipping complex web and mobile interfaces • 2+ years managing stakeholders directly • Strong visual design portfolio • Proven track record of designing complex enterprise software, data-intensive platforms, or workforce management tools • Ability to work autonomously across multiple technical domains from initial research through high-fidelity delivery • Comfort leveraging AI-assisted tools like Claude Code alongside Figma • Experience with healthcare space (bonus) • Storytelling techniques such as animated prototypes or user flow diagrams (bonus) • Interest in design ethics, accessibility, and healthcare topics (bonus) • Evidence of contribution to internal tools, system workflows, and power-user interfaces (bonus) • Proven record of navigating technical constraints to deliver design solutions (bonus) • Experience with user research and prototyping (bonus) • Ability to translate requirements, goals, and research into simple and useful UI (bonus)
