📋 Description

• Perform virtual commercial inspections and plan reviews in licensed disciplines (building, plumbing, electrical, mechanical), via video, photos, or digital submissions • Identify defects, hazards, inconsistencies, or non-compliance issues in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations • Accurately document inspection findings using approved reporting systems and communication channels • Communicate inspection results, required corrections, and professional recommendations to key stakeholders • Assists and advises internal team, contractors, building owners, of code violations and compliance • Provide technical guidance and support to inspection team assistance to inspection personnel relating to field problems • Participate in cross-training with other inspection staff to broaden knowledge enhance overall job performance • Maintain current knowledge of jurisdictional requirements and Florida Building Code • Performs other related duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED • Active State of Florida Residential Inspector License in one or more of the following disciplines: Building (BN), Electrical (EN), Mechanical (MN), and/or Plumbing (PN) • Active International Code Council Certification (ICC) preferred • Minimum of 2 years working in commercial inspections, construction, and/or plan reviews • Strong working knowledge of the Florida Building Code and applicable jurisdictional requirements • Experience with Virtual or remote inspections preferred • Ability to accurately interpret construction documents, plans, and specifications • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused mindset • Strong attention to detail, time management, and ability to meet inspection turnaround deadlines • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating with internal teams • Reliable high-speed internet and a professional remote workspace • Commitment to professionalism, accuracy, and continuous learning
