📋 Description

• Administer human resource plans and procedures • Assist in developing and implementing personnel policies and procedures • Prepare and maintain the employee handbook and policies and procedures manual • Participate in developing department goals, objectives, and systems • Conduct new employee orientations • Write and revise job descriptions • Handle employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling, and exit interviewing • Participate in administrative staff meetings and attend meetings and seminars • Maintain HRIS records and compile database reports • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulations • Support performance management processes, including disciplinary actions and performance improvement plans • Conduct HR investigations and provide recommendations • Support designated geographic regions with a primary focus in California

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field or relevant experience • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a generalist role • 5+ years of HR generalist experience supporting California employees • Working knowledge of CA wage and hour rules, including meal/rest periods, overtime, final pay, CFRA/PDL leave, PAGA exposure, and California-specific compliance • Working knowledge of compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state employment laws • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) • Experience with HRIS systems • PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred
