📋 Description

• Own a portfolio of concurrent client relationships as the senior point of accountability • Translate PE-backed finance challenges and goals into executable transformation plans • Set engagement strategy, define workplans, and connect workstreams to finance goals and investment theses • Diagnose root causes, remediate issues, and build finance infrastructure for long-term success • Lead concurrent post-acquisition integration and exit-preparation engagements • Oversee quality and defensibility of deliverables and make technical judgment calls • Lead finance and accounting change management • Accelerate month-end close and transform financial reporting • Resolve technical accounting matters including ASC 606, ASC 842, complex transactions, and carve-out accounting • Improve cash-flow visibility, controls, and management • Build reporting and KPI infrastructure • Lead post-acquisition integration, including COA harmonization, system consolidation, and team assessment/design • Prepare businesses for exits and sell-side readiness • Hire, structure capacity, develop talent, and provide constructive feedback • Build the FAAS practice, refine delivery methodology, and develop frameworks and intellectual capital • Present complex findings to CFOs, PE operating partners, founders, and Boards • Counsel stakeholders, frame trade-offs, and guide aligned decisions

🎯 Requirements

• CPA required (active or eligible) • 8+ years of progressive experience in Big 4 FAAS, PE-backed controllership or CFO advisory, top-tier consulting, or corporate finance leadership • Significant experience in middle-market environments undergoing meaningful transformation • Demonstrated mastery of close transformation, technical accounting (ASC 606/842/805), cash and working capital management, M&A integration, and exit preparation • Authoritative command of US GAAP, PE-specific accounting (normalization, carve-outs), and ERP/system landscapes • Deep fluency in middle-market finance functions, including cash-to-accrual migrations, first-time audits, QuickBooks-to-ERP transitions, close process redesign, and finance infrastructure development • Willingness to travel 20 to 30% for engagement kickoffs and firm meetings • Executive-level communication and stakeholder management with PE Partners, CEOs, CFOs, and Boards • Ability to design and own workplans across organizational change • Ability to navigate competing sponsor, management, and technical-team priorities • Ability to build teams, hire, develop talent, structure capacity, and refine methodologies and playbooks
